GVH Aerospace Announces Boeing 737 INMARSAT Satellite Communications STC

GVH Aerospace has been awarded the EASA Supplemental Type Certificate for the Boeing 737NG to be installed with the Cobham Aviator INMARSAT SwiftBroadband Satellite Communications System with the Intermediate Gain Antenna.
The Cobham Aviator INMARSAT SwiftBroadband SATCOM systems provides inflight Internet access and may be configured for flight deck use or cabin passenger use. When configured for flight deck use it provides connectivity for flight operations including ACARS data, satellite voice communications capability and updated flight routing and planning information. It may alternatively be configured to route ATC data including FANS-1A and CPDLC, or configured to support flight tracking. If configured for cabin use, the Cobham Aviator system provides the passengers with Internet services for an enhanced IFE experience, secure real-time inflight purchasing and social media messaging and communications.
